The CTS luxury lineup- available as the CTS Sedan, Coupe and Wagon- will add an upgraded V-6 engine for the 2012 model year, as well as a new grille and available Touring Package edition.

A lighter, more efficiently designed V-6 engine gives Buffalo drivers more power, without sacrificing any of the fuel economy of the current 3.6L V-6 on 2011 CTS models. The EPA fuel economy rating for both models is 18 city mpg and 27 highway mpg.

The new engine promises a powerful 318 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. To compare, the current engines deliver 304 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.

These latest engine updates build off of an already award-winning design, as the CTS family’s engine has already been named—twice!—to the “Ward’s 10 Best Engines” list. Experts love the low-end torque and effortless power delivery of the CTS engine.

As for the new grille, the 2012 redesign features new premium finished that highlight a new frame and mesh combination. The signature Cadillac Wreath and Crest logo is made with sharper colors and a three-dimensional feel, giving the 2012 CTS lineup a more refined appearance and even-more head-turning ability on the road.
